    Sarsen

    Sarsen

Six-year-old grey gelding (Jumps) Trainer: Anthony Honeyball (Dorset) Shares available for £32

Sarsen is a six-year-old grey gelding by Noble Mission. Noble Mission won nine of his 21 races and £1.36m in prize-money. He is famously a full-brother to the legendary Frankel, but forged a very successful career in his own right. Sarsen ran well on his hurdling debut to finish second in June 2022, but failed to progress in two subsequent runs for Alan King. He has since been moved to Anthony Honeyball, who has been pleased with the grey's training so far. In his first race for Anthony on 6 October, Sarsen was badly hampered over the first flight and lacked fluency from that point, which was not surprising. Anthony said Sarsen did well to work back into the race down the back straight for the final time. Sarsen is in training with Anthony Honeyball in Dorset. A former conditional jockey for Paul Nicholls, Anthony began training in 2006. His stable star, Regal Encore, won nine races, including a Grade 3 chase at Ascot, when twelve years of age. Anthony also has an excellent record with mares, highlighted by the talented Midnight Tune, who landed a Grade 2 at Sandown over hurdles. Sarsen currently has a British Horseracing Authority (BHA) Jumps (Hurdle) rating of 87 (the average rating is 100).
